Chief Alewo has been having a very rough couple of weeks. For a man who thrives on power and enjoys lording it over everyone, he’s definitely been served a taste of his own medicine. And let’s be honest—he kinda deserves it. From disastrous weddings to public disgrace, let’s break down the series of misfortunes that have humbled the almighty Chief Alewo.

The wedding that turned into a crime scene
First, his grand plan to marry off his daughter, Ojoma, to the Onu of Idu crashed and burned spectacularly. What should have been a political power move ended in chaos—thanks to an aggrieved Madam Regina who decided to spice up the event with poison. (Talk about taking “speak now or forever hold your peace” to another level.) Luckily for Chief Alewo, Omera was able to literally bring people back to life. But by the time everyone recovered, the Onu of Idu had had enough and stormed out, wedding cancelled. Ouch.

Ojoma, the runaway bride
Now, if Chief Alewo thought the worst had happened, he was so wrong. Ojoma, who was already not thrilled about marrying the king, took advantage of the chaos and disappeared faster than you can say “I do.” This left Chief Alewo in full-blown panic mode. The Onu of Idu still wanted his bride, and guess what? Chief Alewo had no bride to deliver. Desperate, he tried to bully Ameh into handing Ojoma over, but that move backfired—spectacularly. The palace guards bundled him out like expired goods. What a shameful exit.

A father, a daughter, and a well-deserved beating
Determined to find Ojoma, Chief Alewo’s search led him to a women’s shelter—where he came face-to-face with his other daughter, Ajifa. Now, Ajifa has her own history with her father’s forced marriage tactics (she literally had to run away to escape). So, when Chief Alewo tried to intimidate her into revealing Ojoma’s whereabouts, Ajifa and the other women in the shelter decided enough was enough. And let’s just say, Chief Alewo got a well-deserved beating. A sound, no-holds-barred, you-should-have-seen-this-coming beating.
