Idolor is Otokun’s first wife and is the self-appointed Queen Regent of Jekri. She is the mother of the kingdom and the Otonolu of Jekri love and respect her. She also rules Otokun’s bevvy of women with a hard hand – unable to hide her jealousy at Tofe’s favoured position and ability to sway the King’s hand, she respects her husband and backs him on every decision and never questions him publicly. However, she challenges him in private when she feels he has crossed the line.
