A BBL and a bad debt – My Flatmates

News
28 February 2025
Jite thought he was investing in his wife’s business. Turns out, he was funding a booty upgrade! Now, he’s in debt, Frank wants a refund (or a share of the BBL).
A BBL and a bad debt – My Flatmates

It all started with Tejiri approaching her husband, Jite, for money to expand her business. Now, Jite knows his wife—she treats loans like goodwill donations, never to be repaid. So, naturally, he wasn’t about to part with his hard-earned cash without some form of insurance. His solution? A voice recording of Tejiri agreeing to pay back the money.

Tejiri was shook

Since when did husbands start giving out loans instead of just gifting their wives money? But she wanted that cash, so she begrudgingly agreed. Getting her to record the agreement, however, was a whole other drama in itself.

The real “business” plan
Here’s where it gets juicy. Was Tejiri planning to open a boutique? No. A restaurant? Nope. Expand an existing business? Not even close. Our dear Tejiri was securing a BBL. Yes, a Brazilian Butt Lift. That was the real business plan. And she had already scoped out a place in Warri for the procedure—a fact that made everyone nervous. Not Lagos. Not even Abuja. Warri. Her friends tried to talk her out of it, but her mind was made up.

Meanwhile, Jite—still blissfully unaware of his wife’s real intentions—went ahead and borrowed money from his friend, Frank, to fund what he believed was a noble business endeavour. Poor, poor Jite. The man took out a loan for a booty upgrade.

A new backside
Fast-forward a few weeks, and Tejiri returns from her “business trip”—but she didn’t come back alone. She brought a new backside with her, and Jite and Prosper were left speechless. It was only at that moment that reality hit Jite like a truck. The loan he took from Frank? It wasn’t for a business—it was for BBL financing.

Now, as Jite is still reeling from the shock, Frank—who was expecting his money back soon—finds out what his funds were used for. And that’s where things take an even more ridiculous turn.

Frank wants his share of the BBL?
Frank is not happy about this. He gave Jite a loan in good faith, and now he has to process the fact that his money was spent on butt enhancement. But instead of simply demanding repayment, Frank comes up with a truly unhinged idea: He insists that since his money contributed to Tejiri’s new asset, he deserves a share of the BBL. Yes, you read that right. Frank wants his cut of the booty. His fiancée, however, is not amused and is understandably confused—How does he plan to claim his share? And what exactly does he intend to do with it?

As the entire flat reels from the shock of Tejiri’s unexpected "business investment," the real questions linger. Will Jite ever recover from this betrayal? Will Frank get his money back, or—heaven forbid—actually try to claim a share of Tejiri’s newfound asset? And most importantly, will this so-called business trip come back to bite Tejiri in the... ass?

One thing is certain—there’s no shortage of drama, chaos, and laughter in this flat. Don’t miss a second of it on My Flatmates, every weekday at 7 PM on Africa Magic Showcase!
